An interview with Elske Dijkstra. Founder of Enforce Sports Events.
Enforce Sport Events - a new name but by no means an unknown organisation in the world of sports events. They organise fantastic events in the North of the country. No MTB rider can do without trying the Velodrome Veldslag om Norg. It's a must. 100 kilometres of hard-sweat racing over the most beautiful terrain North Drenthe has to offer. But the 'Vittoria Slag om Norg', 'Bartje 200' and 'Drenthe 200' are also absolute gems for MTBers, cyclists and gravel-lovers.
Elske Dijkstra and Johan Wekema are the owners of Enforce Sport Events. Elske has extensive experience in organising sports events. She was, among other things, responsible for the organisation of the 'Groningen 4 miles'. A classic among running events with more than 20,000 participants. And now, since 1 January, she is fully focused on the rebranding of all Enforce events.
Enforce Sport Events was already a client of Atleta and One Community for the registration of participants. They chose to commission a new design of their house style and to use Atleta for setting it up and styling the new websites.
Enforce Sport Events
“Enforce is all about giving participants that extra bit of strength, that final push to cross the finish line. After all, these are very gruelling challenges. And of course we are committed to organising our events in the very best way possible. We have great ambitions. In the first year in particular, we will be working on establishing a clear structure and putting our five events on the market. Wherever possible, we will professionalise things even further. The events have to be of a truly high quality. Perfect routes, a good flow of participants during registration but also at the various care stations. We are going for more pre-event and after- sales experiences. Ultimately, we want to organise even more. That does not necessarily have to be limited to cycling events.“

Atleta and Enforce
The Atleta team is not only made up of developers, but also of designers with a lot of experience in sports events and campaigns. This can be expanded with services in the area of online marketing and sales.
“I chose to have Atleta deal with all of the websites. The corporate identity was old, so were the websites, and there was no consistency in the branding. Not much cohesion. I think it's important that the foundation is good. The site must be clearly organised and easy to find. We do everything on mobiles, so it goes without saying that it has to be responsive as well. It's all about convenience for participants. Finding information quickly so that pressure is taken off our support department. We're really pleased with the result!“
Collaboration with Atleta
“The Atleta team is very flexible and quick. They have a fresh approach. They're very willing to think things through with us and deliver good quality. Not everything is done on an hourly rate basis, but as a total package -'we'll sort it out and it'll be fine' is the attitude. That's a major advantage. As for the system, it works really simply. I'm not technical but I can work with it really well. You can quickly come to grips with Atleta. If you're not sure, Atleta's support team is at the ready to show you via a video call. Excellent. Another thing to add to Atleta would be the ability to resell your tickets easily. As well as allowing people to put themselves on a waiting list when an event is sold out. More hours in a day would be great too, ha ha.“
